Refuge student ministries is an exciting new program targeted toward teens to let them know that God is for them not against them. With students leading praise and worship, followed up with teaching from Youth Pastors John and Christina McPherson, students are taught the word of God as it relates to life's daily situations.

Pastors John and Christina were both born in Dayton. After graduating RCHS with Honors, both attended UTC. John and Christina are both educators holding degrees in Middle Grades Education and Multidisciplinary Ed. respectively.


In 2001, they began their ministry as Youth Pastors at Walnut Grove. In 2003, their son "Xander" was thrown into the mix. Aaliyah-Kate arrived in May.

John's interests are, serving God, Drums/Music, chocolate things, paintball, history and good books. Christi's interests lie in, piano, voice, music and scrap booking.
